Big Mamas Door

Who better to lead you in St Patrick Day's celebrations than charismatic singer Fiona McElroy, over from Ireland for the weekend to front her band Big Mama's Door. Widely acclaimed by peers and audiences as hugely entertaining and engaging. Big Mama's Door play their brand of Sexy 50's RnB, jazz and soul with a whole lot of professionalism and love to sold out venues. They play an eclectic mix of originals and covers. Fronted by the most authentic and charismatic Fiona McElroy, who is backed by an excellent band comprising Andy Knight on guitar, Martin Dewhirst on sax, Stephen Walsh on piano and the Shaw siblings Francesca and Bradley on double bass and drums.

Look at some of the reviews below:

"Excellent band ... her smoky, laid-back voice does the risqué blues with soul stuff with a vengeance" Ian McKenzie, Blues in the South
"The audience was wowed by the sheer personality of Fiona as a performer... and the musical excellence of the rest of the band" Bill Smith, Blues in Britain.
"...and as for Big Mama's Door, well Sensational!" BB Skone, Tenby Blues Festival
"A fabulous, sassy lady at the front sensitively phrasing the melodies. Fiona McElroy fits the template as though specifically designed for her". Blues Show Bob, GTFM Blues
