Trevor Babajack Trio

It’s always a delight to welcome an act to St Harmonica’s for the first time, especially when the act in question was winner of the UK Blues Awards Acoustic Act of the year in 2023.
Trevor Babajack Steger is an interesting English musician living aboard the narrow boat ’Sirius’ on the River Avon and whose music is influenced by his passion for early rural blues and rhythmic African roots. He writes and performs his own genre of seemingly improvised music that makes him a thrilling and unique artist. His style of slide guitar, harp playing and song writing is what won him this year’s UK Blues award along with Radio 2 airplay. His live performances include festivals, venues and clubs ranging from little French Cafés to The Royal Albert Hall.

Trevor goes out as a solo act but we’re especially pleased that this Friday he brings his collaborators in the form of the Trevor Babajack Trio where his slide and harp playing are accompanied by thrilling percussion from Jesse Benns and the tasteful violin playing of Jo Chambers. This promises to be a unique evening not to be missed

'Howling Wolf meets Screaming Jay Hawkins….. carried on the wings of a wailing slide guitar' Richard Wall - Blues in Britain

'He makes music that I want to listen to' Alan Pearce - Blues Matters

Check out his website for more information: https://www.trevorbabajacksteger.com and then we’ll see you on Friday

Support is in the form of the highly accomplished vocals and guitar of Simon Hindley accompanied by the harmonica of Little Paul.
