Todd Sharpville is one of the most soulful blues guitarists in the world today, along with having a burgeoning
reputation as a highly sought-after songwriter (“The Randy Newman of the blues”). He’s shortly due to release
a duet of his song “Love Knows No Bounds” with pop icon Robbie Williams as a single for the “music support”
charity, and his most recent album.
Blues guitarist, singer & songwriter Todd Sharpville declared his arrival on the UK blues scene when his first album,
1994’s “Touch of Your Love” bested both Eric Clapton and Gary Moore in the “best guitarist” category of the
British Blues Awards (also winning “best album”). Todd’s second album featured such noted musicians as
ex-Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor, Leo Sayer, Snowy White, and since then Todd has recorded,
performed, and toured with a variety of familiar artists: Joe Cocker, Ike Turner, BB King, Derek Trucks,
Chuck Berry, Joe Louis Walker, George Michael, Taj Mahal, Kim Wilson (Fabulous Thunderbirds), Robbie Williams,
and Branford Marsalis to name but a few. Still regularly headlining blues festivals and touring the continental
and American blues circuit, he’s become a staple figure amongst aficionados of the genre. Expect a sneak preview
of Todd’s “Live at RockPalast” double album which will be released this October (Repetoire Records). He’ll be
showcasing some of his older songs, his current album (“Medication Time” - Dixiefrog Records 2022) along with new,
yet to be released material.
Todd's core quartet features: Steve Ruston - drums (Jeff Beck, Imelda May, Ronnie Spector);
Matt Round - bass (James Morrison, Rodriguez, Robbie Williams); Joe Mac - keyboards (Matt Schofield, Cinelli Brothers,
Dana Gillespie). Heartfelt songs, a premier league band, and a show that always guarantees world-class musicianship,
depth, energy & genuine charisma.
