Frankie Connolly is no stranger to St Harmonica’s Blues Club or to many of you who have loved his previous appearances with Serious Blues and his own band. One of the finest young guitarists in the business (BJ Cole is a big fan) Frankie has teamed up with Jess Hayes alongside Beau Barnard on bass, Joe Mac on keys, Andy Wilder on drums and Richard Clarke on second guitar to form Connolly Hayes. Gathering inspiration from Bros Landreth, Tedeschi Trucks, Marcus King and Chris Stapleton the group began crafting and recording new material in 2023. The band already has a stellar reputation for live performances, recently packing the 100 Club, with their blend of two of the most soulful voices around, guitar wizardry from both sides of the stage and a magnificent rhythm section. Connolly Hayes are already appearing on many of the UK’s festival listings this year and they are due to tour Europe in the autumn. You won’t want to miss this performance on Friday.
Support comes in the form of That Blue Patch with Trevor Cooper on harmonica. They will play from 8.30pm followed by two sets from Connolly Hayes starting just after 9.00pm. Arrive early if you want a seat at this gig.
