Support from ELRY Blue

Friday February 13th
8.00 - 11.30pm

The superstitious believe that Friday 13th is unlucky but this Friday, February 13th is going to be a lucky one for all you blues fans with a fantastic evening in prospect at St Harmonica’s blues club. East Anglia’s finest make the trip down to entertain us in the form of Leavin’ Trunk, an Essex/Suffolk blues supergroup with the coming together of two long standing pillars of the UK Blues scene; charismatic frontman Tim Aves (Wolfpack, Automatic Slim and the Rockin’ Armadillos) and veteran East Anglian drummer John Butters (Blues Situation, Groove Doctors, Mean Red Spiders). They are joined by bassman Rob ’Tank’ Barry, guitarist Craig Fillbrook and keyboard player Adam Whyatt. Their previous outings at the club have been sensational with great material performed superbly.

Two things define the music of Leavin’ Trunk: a powerful, funky groove, infused with a scintilla of New Orleans gumbo; and some great tunes - band originals and re-interpretations of classics from various obscure corners of the blues and soul catalogue. We defy you NOT to dance to this band!

Support comes in the form of that wonderful acoustic duo ELRY Blue, Noel Gander with Gary Choules, a fantastic double act. Last time they supported at the club people were asking if they could be the main act in future

ELRY Blue will play at 8.30pm followed by two sets from the Leavin’ Trunk starting just after 9.00pm.
