We always enjoy it when we host a band for the first time at St Harmonica’s Blues Club and to finally get Jimmy Regal and the Royals up here, north of the river, is quite a coup.
Jimmy Regal and the Royals are a tough and howling harmonica-led trio from South London that are renowned for their electrifying live performances. They deliver a sound that travels from Mississippi to New Orleans to Mali to Canvey Island. Their “First and Last Stop” album topped blues charts and received critical acclaim and award nominations. Recognised as one of the UK’s most innovative blues/roots acts, this three-piece make a sound like no other on the scene. See below some of the comments:
'Jimmy Regal and the Royals is one hell of a blues band and First and Last Stop is one hell of a blues album’ - Blues Matters Magazine.
'This is just robust music in the hands of masters’ - Blues Blast Magazine.
‘A band with the controls set to joyous’ - Classic Rock Magazine.
