Doc K's Blues Band

Back

Tending to the blues since 1966

Support from Phil Davison

Friday January 23rd
8.00 - 11.30pm

Always a pleasure to welcome back Doc K’s Blues Band to the club to hear an authentic early British take on electric blues. The Docs have been tending to the blues since their birth in 1966 and, although the line up has evolved over the years their capacity to deliver Chicago blues remains as powerful as ever. Mad Dog Dave Barnes has been with the band for more than forty years and he brings his remarkable vocals along with searing slide guitar and harmonica. A genuine MD finally in the Docs' line up sees former neurosurgeon Dr Ika on lead guitar and vocals while the master of time, drummer Mick Parker provides the groove for these two along with Dave Thomas on bass.

Happiness guaranteed along with a complete recovery from your winter blues, don’t mis Doc K this Friday evening when they also feature the harmonica and vocals of guest artist Jeff Savage of The Looters.

And the support is from our good friend Phil Davison with original and classic tunes.

Support starts at 8.30pm followed by two sets from Doc K’s Blues Band starting around 9.00pm
